Web & mobile apps
Custom web and mobile app development
Custom iOS, Android and web applications for business
We build branded iOS and Android apps — shopping experiences, ops dashboards, and everything between — including Shopify and WooCommerce storefronts that feel native, pass store review, and take real payments.

UI & UX that feels native
Apple and Android each have their own patterns — navigation, typography, gestures, and system payments. We design for both so the app feels at home on the device, not like a stretched website. We design the full customer and staff journey, including the less obvious moments — errors, loading, refunds, fulfilment — so the app holds up in real use rather than only in the ideal case.
Getting through App Store and Google Play review
Store approval is part of the build rather than something left until the end. Apple and Google reject apps for predictable reasons, so we prepare the app, the required privacy information, account settings and review material before submission — then handle the review process through to approval.
Payment integrations
Checkout inside an app is where conversion is won or lost. We integrate Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards and region-appropriate payment gateways, with the order and payment systems connected properly behind the scenes so paid orders reach Shopify, WooCommerce or your own systems reliably — no double charges, no orders quietly going missing. Subscriptions, tips and partial refunds are built as part of the customer journey rather than bolted on afterwards.
Shopify → mobile app
Your Shopify catalogue, customers, discounts and checkout power the mobile app, so nothing behind the store needs rebuilding. Customers get a branded iOS and Android experience while Shopify carries on managing the commerce operation you already know. Push notifications can cover abandoned carts, order updates, restocks and campaigns.
WooCommerce → mobile app
If WooCommerce already runs your online store, we extend it into a branded mobile app rather than starting again. Products, carts, discounts, orders and payments stay connected to what you already use, so customers get a faster mobile experience and your team keeps working in the WooCommerce setup they know. A companion app for staff can handle fulfilment alongside it.
From store sync to store listing
We take commerce apps end to end: connect Shopify or WooCommerce, design the mobile experience, integrate payments, prepare App Store and Google Play submissions, and handle the review process until you're live. You own the apps, the code, and the developer accounts.

Choosing a format
Native, web app, or PWA?
Most people arrive asking for "an app" when what they mean is "our customers need to do this on their phones." Those are different problems with different price tags. The wrong choice here costs more than any other decision in the project — app store rejection, a build you can't afford to maintain twice, or a product nobody can find.

Native is usually the right fit when the product depends on device capability — background location, Bluetooth hardware, reliable push — or when your customers genuinely expect to find you in an app store. Logistics, field service and fitness products tend to land here, and we will tell you when yours does.
A web app usually makes more sense when the users are staff or business customers who reach it from a laptop as often as a phone. Admin dashboards, customer portals and booking systems rarely justify the cost and overhead of a store presence.
A progressive web app covers most of what people actually want from "an app" — an installable icon, offline behaviour, notifications — without funding two native codebases and maintaining both.
There is a version of this conversation where an agency agrees you need native, because native costs the most. We would rather make the call with you on what the product actually needs: most businesses asking for an app are better served by a PWA or a well-built web app, and the ones who genuinely need native usually already know why.
Common questions
Questions about building an app
Most custom mobile apps take three to six months from scoping to store approval. A straightforward Shopify or WooCommerce storefront app sits at the shorter end; apps with custom backends, offline behaviour or complex integrations sit at the longer end. App Store and Google Play review typically adds one to two weeks at the end, and that step is outside any developer’s control.
The most common rejection reasons are vague or missing privacy policies, no account deletion option, placeholder content, broken login, and unclear payment flows. Apple also rejects apps that offer too little functionality beyond a website. Preparing the submission properly — privacy text, age ratings, screenshots, review notes and working test accounts — removes most of the risk before you submit.
Yes. Your Shopify store remains the source of truth for products, collections, inventory, customers and discounts, and the app becomes a native storefront reading from it. Nothing about your existing commerce operation is rebuilt. The same applies to WooCommerce, which connects over the REST API.
Yes. You own the source code, the repositories, and the Apple Developer and Google Play accounts the app is published under. The apps are published under your business name, not a development agency’s, which means you can move to another developer or take maintenance in-house without republishing or losing your reviews and rankings.
Ongoing costs are the Apple Developer Program and Google Play developer fees, hosting for any backend, and periodic work to keep the app compatible with new iOS and Android releases. Apple and Google both ship annual OS updates that can break older apps, so budgeting for maintenance is not optional — an app left untouched for two years usually needs remedial work before it can be updated at all.
You need the app to work on both, but not necessarily two separate builds. Cross-platform frameworks let a single codebase serve iOS and Android while still feeling native on each, which is how most business apps are built now. Two fully separate native codebases are only worth the doubled cost when the app depends heavily on platform-specific hardware behaviour.
